Instant Noodles vs Empal Gentong: An Exciting Blend of Tastes!

Hello noodle lovers, especially noodle lovers in Indonesia. This time the author will review the food for boarding children, Mie Indomie. Who doesn't know Indomie, an instant noodle brand produced by Indofood CBP, a subsidiary of Indofood in Indonesia. This boarding house food has a variant of the taste of typical West Java food, namely Empal Gentong! How does it feel huh? Let's review.

Noodles measuring 75 grams are sold at a price of around Rp. 3000 has a deep yellow color. The seasoning consists of a fairly generous amount of dry herbs, with dried chilies, and seasoning oil in them.


For how to make it fairly easy, it is clear as the name implies instant noodles. You can also see how it's made on the noodle wrapper. You only need to boil the water until it boils, add the noodles, wait a few minutes while preparing the spices, then after the noodles are cooked mix the noodles with the spices and the noodles are ready to be served.


The taste of Empal Gentong is so pronounced according to the author. The thick gravy, as well as the chewy and soft texture of the noodles make the author addicted. You can also add your own toppings according to your taste such as eggs, meatballs, sausages, scallions, chilies if you really like spicy and additional vegetables. You can imagine the Empal Gentong flavored noodles with meatballs, sausage, or sliced ​​chicken. Unique combination, right? It must be delicious!


When compared to other Indomie Kuah, the author prefers Indomie Kuah Empal Gentong, because the sauce is more pronounced than other Indomie Kuah. The author is looking forward to Indomie Kuah with other variants of West Java specialties. Maybe Indomie Docang flavor?
