First Journey: Walking on Water in Bali !

The first experience of going to Bali without a plane.

Usually when we go to Bali, people prefer to use the plane.

But for me, the first trip to Bali was by land and sea.

Yes, go to Bali by bus and ship.

It's tiring, but on the bright side I can see a lot more sights than when using an airplane that can only see clouds and sky. But it's also a great sight too.

Five days is enough to go to Bali using the overland route from Cirebon. I departed from Cirebon, West Java to Central Java and continued walking until we crossed from the port of Ketapang, Banyuwangi, East Java to the port of Gilimanuk, Jembrana, Bali.

On the ship I didn't see much of the scenery, it's a shame maybe because it was night. I can only see the small lights that are on the islands from a distance. On the bright side, the sound of the ocean waves at night is very beautiful, plus the night breeze. Very comfortable! But don't forget to wear warm clothes, maybe it will be very cold for those of you who feel cold easily.

For food, along the way I eat three times, morning, afternoon and evening. Food was served like a buffet, with a menu of rice, chicken and other side menus while still on the island of Java, but after we arrived in Bali I think there was an additional menu of typical Balinese food.

You know the most annoying thing when traveling? The answer is the toilet / bathroom.

Yes, why do I say that, because besides having to queue very long, the toilet is not free. There may be some, but most of us have to pay. I didn't take a shower because of it. Just cleaning my face and brushing my teeth all the way, when I arrived at the hotel, I could feel refreshed because I took a shower.

When I arrived in Bali, I visited many places such as Ulun Danu Temple, Lake Beratan, Bedugul, Jimbaran Beach, Tanjung Benoa Beach, Melasti Beach, GWK (GARUDA WISNU KENCANA), and Dtw. Tanah Lot. It's a little funny but of all the destinations I've mentioned, only one place impressed me and if I have the chance to go to Bali again, that's the only place I really want to go.

Highway over the sea. Bali Mandara Toll Road, only this place makes me want to go back to Bali. The Bali Mandara Toll Road is a toll road that connects Denpasar City/Benoa Port, Ngurah Rai International Airport, and Nusa Dua in Bali Province, Indonesia and has an area of 12.7 kilometers.

During my life for the first time I saw or not only saw but crossed a toll road that was right above the water in Indonesia. Can I be arrogant? I am speechless, so beautiful and amazing this place. The structures and views that I could see along the highway were truly amazing, like walking on water. Plus the toll lane for two-wheeled vehicles, isn't it unique? If there is a chance I want to cross this toll road by motorbike.

For an idea of how beautiful it is, you can see through my Instagram posts.

Oh yes! some tips from me. If you travel using tour travel services when you visit a shopping place, please don't be too hasty to buy souvenirs, because they will definitely visit other shopping places. The fact is that the later the shopping place you visit turns out to be cheaper and more complete at the last shopping place, compared to the first shopping place. But some say it's a quality problem, maybe there are some but in my opinion they are the same, maybe only influenced by the brand name.

That was my first trip in Bali. If you are thinking of going to Bali, which place do you want to visit? Don't forget to take a photo of the ocean view when crossing the Mandara toll road. Happy Holidays!
